Private Bedrooms with Ensuite Bathrooms

Our ensuite rooms, lettered A through F, each bring their own personality to the building — featuring bold accent walls, unique design touches, and hardwood floors that give every space a warm, well-designed feel. While the aesthetic varies room to room, the amenities are consistent throughout. Every room comes furnished with a bedframe, mattress, closet, desk with chair, smart TV, dresser, and a mini fridge, along with individually controlled heating and cooling so your space is always at the right temperature. Large windows ensure each room is filled with natural light throughout the day.

Most rooms feature a private ensuite bathroom within the room itself, finished with modern tile and a walk-in shower. Three rooms — 31 #1A, 31 #2A, and 33 #1A — have a private, locking bathroom located just outside the unit door, offering the same privacy in a slightly different layout.

Thatch has designed the building and its offerings to take care of the essentials, making your stay seamless from day one. You’re always welcome to add small personal touches to your room during your stay.

Private Floor with Ensuite Bathroom

The ground floor units — 31 #1G, 31 #2G, and 33 #1G — offer a more expansive living experience at 31-33 Highland Ave. These units have all of the offerings of the ensuite unit, but with added amenities – dedicated living space, walk-in closet and a premium bathroom with a glass-enclosed subway tile shower. 

The living space includes a sectional sofa, large smart TV, and desk, giving residents significantly more private space than a standard ensuite room. Each unit has individually controlled heating and cooling to keep the space comfortable year-round.

Like all residents at Highland Co-Living, ground floor tenants share the communal kitchen — combining the privacy of a spacious personal unit with the community feel of shared living.

Common Areas

Each building at Highland Co-Living has its own kitchen and living area, accessible exclusively to the residents of that building. With a maximum of six residents per kitchen, the shared space stays manageable and comfortable for everyone.

The kitchens are fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher, along with cookware and utensils — everything you need to prepare a meal. The open-plan layout connects the kitchen to a furnished living and dining area, giving residents a comfortable space to cook, eat, and unwind outside of their rooms.

Thatch supplies the space and the tools — perishables and personal groceries are the responsibility of each resident. Residents are expected to keep the shared areas clean and respectful for everyone in the building.

Private Studio

The studio at 33 Highland #2 is a self-contained unit with its own private entrance and fully equipped kitchen, setting it apart from all other room types at Highland Co-Living. The open-plan space combines sleeping, living, and kitchen areas into one comfortable layout, fully furnished with a bedframe, mattress, nightstands, desk with chair, smart TV, and seating, along with hardwood floors and a bold gray accent wall. A private ensuite bathroom with a glass-enclosed subway tile shower completes the unit.

The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher — everything you need to cook and eat within your own space.

The studio operates independently from the rest of the building. Residents have their own entrance and are not reliant on any shared common areas.
